THINGS NO ONE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT EGYPT

What you already know about Egypt is that it's a country with  great monuments and with a history full of ups and downs. Everywhere you find information about ancient Egypt and Egyptians, but what about the nowadays Egypt ? Of course that the history is important, but we live and get to see what Egypt has to offer today.
Here are things no one will tell you about, especially in the actual political and social national and international situation.

1. Egypt is safe!
One of the questions most foreigners ask is about safety in Egypt. Being an Islamic and middle eastern country and having some internal conflicts in the past years, make people ask themselves many times if it's OK to travel here. I live here for more than 3 years already and I didn't face and conflict or I'm not scared to be here. And I'm not the only foreigner I know that said the same thing.
Egypt is safe!

2. Egyptians are united and nationalists.
Even though you might hear some of them speaking bad about the country and claiming that they want to travel abroad, you can see in their eyes that in the depth of their hearts they love this country. I never saw before more united people. You can put against each other two men or two women...or even they fight this will not last long.
Muslims and Christians work and go out together, without tagging each other from religious point of view.
Egyptians fight and celebrate shoulder to shoulder, men and women, together.

3. Egyptians are smart and hard working.
Many times you'll hear employers saying that they prefer foreigners because they are more serious and professional in their work compared to Egyptian employees.
I met very intelligent women especially and very hard working. The different social and economical crisis made Egyptian people understand the value of money and that's why you'll meet men and women who are able to work anything, anytime, to make any business or to give a try in businesses for making a living.

4. Egypt starts to focus more about helping youth, women empowerment and socio- cultural and economical improvement.
Egypt wants and can show more than monuments. Starting with building a new museum in the Giza plateau, a new capital city or great entertainment and commercial centers (see Mall of Egypt). Also each year there is the International Youth Forum where young people around the world come to share ideas and opinions. And there are many new business and many of them owned by women. The country is open to investors and looks forward economic growth.
One of the things I appreciate is that this country can feed alone its own people having many Egyptian owned businesses.
